Library Rules & Regulations
  • The library time will be from 10 am to 7.30 pm.
  • The users must carry the Identity Card with him or her to use the library. It is not transferable. The users are not permitted to use other’s Identity Card/s.
  • Bags, personal belongings must not be brought inside the library. These must be kept at the property counter at reader’s own risk.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library. Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary action and the library privileges may be withdrawn.
  • Loan periods: The length of time that books may be borrowed is as follows:

    Faculties : 3 Books / 10 Days

    PG Students : 2 Books / 7 Days

    UG Students : 2 Books / 5 Days

  • Members are responsible for the books borrowed against their library ticket.
  • Borrowers must satisfy themselves with the physical condition of books before borrowing.

    Borrowers are requested to check if the documents being borrowed are complete and no pages are missing in it. In case of defect or damage in the book should be brought to the notice of the library staff.

  • Reference books , Journals , Dissertations ,Projects , Bound Volumes and Question Banks will not be issued.
  • All borrowed materials must be returned on or before the due date.
  • Issued books returned after due date attract overdue charges. For general books ,the overdue charges range from 1 rupee per day.
  • A Document (Book) Issued may be renewed up to 1 time provided, there is no reservation against it.
  • Readers should not write in, mark or otherwise disfigure/damage books, furniture etc.
  • Loss of any borrowed book must be reported immediately to the Librarian/Library Staff.The member must replace the lost book / pay the cost of the latest edition of the lost book along with overdue charges,if any.
  • Photo copying (Reprography) service shall be available against payment.
  • Violation of library rules or misconduct by a member may invite discontinuation of the library privileges.
